Soulinspire offers a range of services, some of these are in clinic such as Acupuncture & Bowmor Bowen Therapy. FAQ for these specific in clinic services are below.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

If you have had any diagnostic tests performed; X-Ray, MRI, Blood Tests etc. in relation to the injury/ailment, it is advisable to bring them with you to your appointment as we will take this into consideration when assessing your overall health.
Also if you have had any prior treatment performed in relation to the issue(s) of concern, it may be worthwhile to bring details of this also.

DO I NEED A REFERRAL?

Not at all. No referral is required to visit our clinic. Just contact us to make an appointment as we cannot cater to walk-ins. Click here to book today.

DO YOU HAVE HICAPS/CAN I CLAIM ON MY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE?

At this time we do not offer HICAPS however we are registered for health fund rebates for Acupuncture appointments. If your insurance provides cover for this we will provide you with an invoice to use when lodging your claim.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept card payments from VISA, MASTERCARD and AMEX if your card has a “chip”. Cash is also welcome as long as it is the correct amount as we do not keep change on the premises. When making an online booking you will be asked to make part payment in advance which can be done using Visa, Mastercard or AMEX.
We do not charge a processing fee for card payments.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Loose fitting clothing is advisable but not required. If undressing is required we have modesty towels to cover you.

CAN I DRIVE AFTER A TREATMENT?

Sometimes after a treatment you may feel slightly light headed however this usually passes quickly and is due to the relaxed state you are in from the treatment. If you have driven yourself to the appointment you should be able to drive yourself away.

IS IT SAFE?

Our practitioners have undergone extensive training and years of practical experience in their related professions and are fully qualified, accredited, insured and nationally registered with AHPRA. This means that our practitioners are aware of safety boundaries within their chosen profession than lesser-trained practitioners. Feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with your practitioner.

IS ACUPUNCTURE SAFE DURING PREGNANCY?

If you suspect you are pregnant it is very important that you let our practitioners know. All of the practitioners in our clinic are highly experienced in working with various stages of pregnancy. Whether it be retaining, early-stage pregnancy, morning sickness, aches and pains or labour induction. The practitioner will use various points and techniques to assist with each stage/complaint.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE HURT? I’M SCARED OF NEEDLES!

When explaining what is felt during the process of having an acupuncture treatment, we often describe the feeling of a dull sensation or “spreading” as the needle reaches the appropriate point. The strength of these sensations varies depending on the individual and their presentation; a lot of the time nothing is felt and other times the sensation can be quite strong where the practitioner may reduce the sensation if necessary.


If you have a fear of needles our practitioners can work through this with you however there are also alternatives available. See next question.

ARE THERE AN ALTERNATIVES TO NEEDLES?

Yes. There are several modalities of treatment that we offer at Soulinspire which are associated with Acupuncture but do not necessarily involve needles. They are acupressure, moxibustion, auriculotherapy, Acutonics® Sound Therapy, press-tacks/pellets and cupping therapy.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED? HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO COME?

This all depends on you.
If it is an acute condition, it may well only require 1, 2 or 3 sessions of treatment. Of course, more developed/chronic conditions may require more extensive/ongoing treatment. In these cases we may recommend more frequent visits initially and as we and you see improvement we can reduce the frequency of your visits.

WILL THIS INTERFERE WITH MY MEDICATION OR OTHER TREATMENTS?

In the majority of circumstances, No. There are some circumstances when certain treatments are not to be used, in a situation such as this your practitioner will identify this and use alternative treatment methods which are suitable for your unique presentation to get results.
For this reason it is always of the utmost importance that you share will your practitioner all medications and other therapy/treatments that you are undertaking.

HOW DO YOU DELIVER ONLINE SERVICES?

We use a mix of technology depending on the service provided. In most cases our Transformation Coaching sessions are conducted via phone as this is a highly effective method for both the client and coach.
Other consultations are conducted over video conferencing services such as Zoom which allows the practitioner to see the client.

WHAT IS TRANSFORMATION COACHING

This is such a fantastic question.

At Soulinspire our goal is to see our client living happy, healthy, authentic lives and a lot of the time it take transformation. You might need to transform your body, your relationship, your job or even you mindset. We work with our clients to empower you to make the changes you want in your life.
